At Pennies Forest School we offer a wide range of seasonal activities that allow children to connect with nature and learn through outdoor experiences. Specific activities may vary depending on the weather, but here are some common seasonal activities you might find at Forest School during the summer months:
Exploring different habitats and the creatures, such as moles, insects, birds, foxes, squirrels and more. Creating habitats these creatures can use such as bug hotels.
Building shelters and learning about knots and ropes.
Creating nature-inspired arts and crafts using materials found on the forest floor.
Learning about and practising outdoor cooking and fire safety.
Practising mechanical including making tippy taps
