At Pennies, we are extremely proud of our incredible staff. The teams who work at our Forest School and nurseries are the heart of the Pennies family and it’s fantastic to read about the huge positive impact they have on parents and their children across our settings via reviews left on our daynurseries.co.uk profile.
DayNurseries.co.uk is a popular online platform that provides information and resources related to nurseries and childcare. The website allows potential parents to search for nurseries in their area and provides detailed profiles for each nursery, including contact information, location, facilities, staff qualifications, and reviews from parents.
DayNurseries.co.uk also offers a platform for parents to leave reviews and ratings based on their experiences with specific nurseries. These parent reviews can help other parents make informed decisions when choosing a nursery for their child.
Each setting is given a ranking out of ten and at Pennies we are striving to achieve it with the help of our parents.

My daughter has always loved being outdoors and I was thrilled to find Pennies Forest School for her preschool years. She settled in well during trial days and was very happy to start her full days. I love seeing the photos of her around a campfire, making little wood piles for the insects they find, and jumping on and off tree stumps with her new friends. It’s so natural, and healthy for her to be outside playing and learning about the world. The staff are really knowledgeable and I absolutely love the school manager as a male influence for my toddler. So much childcare is female-dominated, I am really happy she can have a good male role model to guide her on her days there.
My son adores his Forest school days. He loves the freedom he is given to explore and the adults fill him with confidence to investigate and pursue his ideas. The activities are novel, engaging and exciting and are not things he has enjoyed in other nursery settings. The Forest school is well resourced but children also use and learn about natural resources to support their play. The leaders are extremely knowledgeable, experienced and friendly and have quickly built strong relationships with the children.
